With a new training centre on site offering a bespoke training course covering vac-ex operation, Force One can offer pre-training in preparation for the A78 Theory and Practical Assessments.

Our dedicated trainer will present to you a two day (minimum) training course for experienced operatives and up to five days for the less-experienced candidates.
During the training, you will be taken through an in-depth presentation covering all aspects of operating a vacuum excavator, H&S checks, the benefits of the new CPCS trained and competent operative cards, how vacuum excavation works and it’s benefits, environmental benefits, safety, PPE, pre-checks, maintenance and so much more.

We currently have a dedicated CPCS test centre tester that is on-site Monday to Friday and at weekends subject to availability.

Pre-Training requires no previous CPCS or industry credentials, however to book an A78 theory and A78 (A-H) practical assessment, all candidates must have undertaken a health and safety touch screen theory test within the last 2 years.

A78 (A-H) Theory and Practical assessments can be arranged to suit your diary – Please allow at least 4 hours and 30 minutes to be on-site.

To book your assessment, we require at least two full days notice.
Upon achievement of both your theory and practical assessments, a red trained operative card will be requested for you. Your card will be valid for two years. During this time, you can apply for your NVQ with our preferred centre to achieve your blue competent operative card.

*A CITB grant may be available – a Levy number is required and can be submitted at the time of booking or you can download a form from the CITB website and submit at your convenience
